Coach Match

What is it?

A process that pairs trained BCA coaches with members of the BCA community students, graduates, alumni, to engage in meaningful conversations to support coach development and client growth.

Who will be my coach?

Individuals that have completed at minimum 40 hours of BCA Coach Training (I.e. having participated in BCA Part 1 or BCA Core Skills/Credential Courses)
Available coaches include individuals working towards acquiring their RCC (WABC Registered Corporate Coach™), Associate Certified Coach (ICF ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (ICF PCC) designations.
Coaches come from diverse professional backgrounds and have widely varying subject matter expertise.

About the sessions:

  • Coaches offer an initial “Good Fit Conversation”, as an opportunity for you to get to know each other, scope your coaching topic, discuss logistics of the coaching engagement and to answer any questions you have about coaching.
  • During your coaching sessions, you and your coach will partner in inquiry-based conversations to surface new awareness, explore possibilities and co-design action and accountability plans as you work towards your coaching goals.
  • All BCA Coaches commit to complying with the International Coaching Federation's Code of Ethics. Client confidentiality is essential.

How much does it cost?

This is a BCA peer-development opportunity. To ensure equity of access all coaching engagements are offered free of charge (considered exchange of service by ICF). 

How do I find a coach?

  1. Review list of BCA coaches
  2. Select a coach and reach out to have a discovery session
  3. When you have found a match, sign your coaching agreement.
  4. Partner with your coach to achieve your goals
  5. Complete a feedback form at the end of your engagement


How do I offer my services as a coach?

Review the BCA Practice Management Toolkit:
The toolkit provides you with perspectives, tools and resources to help guide you in your practice of coaching and it looks at different phases in a coaching engagement and offer a set of tools and worksheets that you can customize to help you execute these practices professionally


Create a Coach Profile:

  • See appendix B of the BCA Practice Management Toolkit for guidelines on creating a coach profile.
  • Ensure that you have a scheduling link that you can share with prospective clients.
  • Coaches must be available to deliver a minimum of 6 sessions per client over a 3-month period (Good fit conversations are not included in the 6 sessions)
